Our family of 9 adults had a fabulous stay at your lodge. The spacious rooms and added amenities for example the pool table, washing machine, built-in braaiers (2x) and lovely large dining table made our stay very pleasant indeed. 7 of the adults were our kids and friends and the lodge is spacious enough to accommodate all needs and tastes!

It was our first visit to the area and the owner was very helpful with information regarding the area, shark cage diving, restaurants worthy to visit and other interesting info. The area is really a hidden gem. So much to do! We did shark cage diving in Gansbaai, beer and wine tasting, fishing at Die Plaat and Franskraal, Zipline at Hermanus, delicious coffee and waffles at Gansbaai coffee shop and so much more! We will definitely be back to the area …and definitely stay at your lodge again!

Wow Wow Wow what a find so happy we came across Slip-a-Way and booked it for our family reunion, the majority of the guests were from the UK and where totally blown away by the accommodation and the location. Our every need was catered for right across the different age groups, the house seems to have been built for socialising and this most definitely added to our stay as did the hospitable owners of the property.

If you can tear yourself away from the house there is no lack of things to do in the surrounding areas, wine tasting, beer tasting, good restaurants and of course shark diving. If your looking for some were special to stay I can highly recommend Slip-a-Way.

We were privileged to spend a week here during the Summer. As we live in Ireland, we were really looking forward to this place of sea and sunshine. What a fantastic surprise. The accommodation was simply phenomenal!! The entire place was spotless. The view was one of the best sunset/sunrise ever experienced. The beds were super comfy and the area has fabulous restaurants.

We will be back, if we can get a reservation! Thank you so much Host Harris for an unbelievable experience.

We had an amazing weekend stay at this beautiful lodge. We really felt we had our own boutique hotel with coastal vibes throughout. Tastefully decorated , offering everything a large group or family would need even it’s own bar !! Great during Summer but also a great place to hunker down in Winter with roaring fires and wrapped up walks on the beach which is a stone’s throw away. We were a party of 8 and there is so much space for everyone to find there own place be it playing pool, star gazing curled up with a book or as we did spent a lot of time propping up the bar with good wine music and great food !!

A great place for bringing friends and family for some quality time! We will definitely be back thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven!

5 of us stayed at the lodge and could not have had a better weekend! From the moment we arrived the owner made sure we were well looked after and had everything we needed for our stay. We were provided a list of all local restaurants and bars to visit as well as the awesome shark cage diving experience next door. You can go out and visit them or thanks to the indoor braai, bar and great kitchen you can stay in and have a great time! The facilities on offer from the beautiful rooms to the spacious living room, dining area and even pool table were first class!

We will definitely be coming back to the lodge and spreading the word amongst family and friends as it’s a must visit! Thanks again!

Amazing stay at Slip a Way, the view is stunning and there is so much to do. Close to Gansbaai golf course and the fishing was great. The house has everything one needs and more, best accommodation we have ever rented, worth every cent. We were two families staying at the house and we will definitely be back.

This is the perfect getaway if you need a “time out” from the hustle and bustle of city living. The house is conveniently situated 100m away from the harbor with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounds. Nothing beats that fresh morning smell of the ocean as you wake up and enjoy a warm cup of coffee on the balcony taking in your sea view. You are a stone throw away from Gansbaai golf club if this is something that appeals to you, and shark cage diving is one of the main attractions in this area.

White Shark Projects is conveniently situated downstairs from the living space and booking a shark diving encounter is as simple as walking down the stairs and making a booking with any of the friendly staff. The house itself is luxurious and extremely clean and tidy. It offers a full “live in self catering experience” with ample sleeping space (each of the 5 bedrooms have bathrooms on suite) two lounges and a library with a fire place for those colder evenings, a lovely dining area, pool table and well stocked bar. There are also two indoor braai facilities. Parking is ample and secure.

The beds are soft and will literally suck you in and never let go! The kitchen space is gorgeous and openly flows with ample space to test your “Masterchef” skills to entertain your friends and family. The management of this gorgeous little gem is super friendly and will go the extra mile every time to ensure your stay is not only memorable, but one that will enchant you to come back again and again… I absolutely adore this little slice of heaven and personally have been back there more than 5 times already – I HIGHLY recommend this as an option to get away and get “lost in tranquility”
